William Ballou was born c.1647 to William Ballou and Dorothy Parker.

He married Dorothy Clarke in Virginia c.1667.[citation needed]

William may have written his will in October 1700; in which case he most certainly did not die in February 1700, as the very source for the will contrarily claims. [1]

In the name of God Amen
the 11th Oct 1700
I, William Ballowe of Lille Valley in the county of Henrico, planter,
sick in body yet of practiced & perfect memory,
thank you be given to Almighty God for the aforementioned,
practice brand and ordain this my will and attestation, in fashion and form following.
First and principally I recommend my soul to Almighty God my Creator,
assuredly hoping that I shall receive full pardon and total remission of my sins and to be saved by the precious Decease and merits of my blessed Savior and redeemer Christ Jesus. And my body to the globe from whence it was taken to exist buried in such a decent & ...fashion every bit to my Executrix, futurity named, shall be through thought seen moode & equally touching my worldly manor that it hath pleased Almighty God to endow with all my volition, and to mi ten children I give 12 pence apiece. I brand and ordain my trusty & well-dear friend Dorothy Ballow(e) my whole & sole Executrix of this my last volition & testament desiring her to run into it fulfilled & satisfied and all my just debts paid. In witness whereof I accept hereunto set my hand and seal the day and year get-go written.

Kickoff and principally I recommend my soul to Almighty God my Creator convincingly hoping that I shall receive total pardon and total remission of my sins and to be saved by the precious Death and claim of my blessed Savior and redeemer Christ Jesus.
